Why this site exists
Air purifiers are sold on a room size and a filter name, while the figures that decide whether one works, the AHAM-verified CADR, the noise at the speed you will actually run, and what the filters cost a year, sit in certification databases and spec sheets. We read those, put the numbers side by side, and say which one fits which room and why.
What we cover
- Air purifiers. HEPA purifiers by room size, budget and job: allergies, pets, smoke, mold, bedrooms and large rooms.
- Air quality monitors. PM2.5, CO2, VOC and radon monitors, and what their sensors can and cannot measure.

How the guides are made
Guides are researched and written with the help of AI tools, working from the documents listed at the end of each page: maker spec sheets and manuals, standards and government pages, and owner reports. Figures are checked against those sources, and a guide names its source when a number comes from somewhere other than the maker. The full process is on our methodology page.
